The ROOSTER and the P & O MAN

I wandered into Sam's wine bar
Down on 52nd Street and Vine
And witnessed the Great Encounter
Between the Rooster and the P & 0 man.

The P & 0 Man was hollering,
Cursing and jumping up and down.
The rooster stood silently watching,
Beak in the air he held his ground.

He had staked his claim to the P & 0
And P & 0 Man couldn't make him go.

By the time I got there,
The battle was hot. There
Was broken glass all over the place
And P & 0 Man's blood splattered his face.
Each time he got a bit too close,
Rooster cackled and clawed his nose.

The bird was looking mighty mean.
P & 0 Man screamed, he screamed:
"I'll get you, I'll kill you,
If it's the last thing I do"

Rooster eyed him carefully,
Cocked his head and calmly
Said: "Prrk-prrk Prrk-prrk"
