Chapter One
In Chapter One "Oh To Be Woman", we meet Carol, a young materialist, money orientated, kickster woman and Hans, her sadistic, millionaire boyfriend who dreams of being an African (Black) woman.
In his plush London hotel suite, we witness their indulgence in an orgiastic feast of food, alcohol, sex and violence which culminates in one of them being killed by the other.
Chapter Two
In this chapter "African Man Where You Going To?" we meet Aiysha in Philadelphia, a "Sweet Sister", as Shango, her aspiring lover calls her. We also notice Shango's special relationship with the jovial, giant-sized World of Islam trouble-shooter, Brother Muhammad.
Chapter Three
In Chapter Three "The
price of Freedom" we meet two more key players in our saga: George
Hamilton, a London prison inmate and his mysterious visitor, Julie Alexander.
We also hear of a missing briefcase that everybody wants to get their hands
on. We visit Aiysha and Shango in Philadelphia to see how their romance
is getting on. And we witness for the first time the incredible power of
the ankh.
Chapter Four
In Chapter Four, "The
Missing Link", we meet the multi-billionaire, drug dealing master-spy,
Paul and his ex-CIA girl friend Gertrude. We get some background on the
missing artefact and two different perspectives on the nature of the missing
link. We drop in on Aiysha and Shango to find that all is not well on the
sexual front and one of them has been two timing the other.
Chapter Five
In Chapter Five "The
Mountain, the River and the Ocean" Shango hears some disturbing details
about his "friend" Aiysha's childhood sexual experiences. We meet millionnaire,
Razor-Fraser and his two loyal sidekicks, the giant Hulk and Sam the speed
freak in a desparate car chase. Gertrude plays Cupid. We meet Frank, the
would-be kidnapper, and we hear the Teacher, Fundisi's verdict on the ankh.
Chapter Six
In Chapter Six, we meet Ananse,
the Prostitute, the Movie Star and the Baby and discover their relationship
with one another.
Chapter Seven
In Chapter Seven Men Bleed Too? we find some incredible answers to some of our questions and uncover yet another dead baby puzzle as we get deeper and deeper into the mystery surrounding the ankh.
