Stabbed
At approximately 5.30pm on Sunday 10th September 2006, Spartacus R. and Sister Pettrige, Co-Founders of www.GAP-Radio.com (Global Africa People’s Radio) were attacked in Peckham by a Cold, Vicious, knife-wielding Maniac intent on Murder, leaving Sister Pettrige with serious injuries and Spartacus R. with a life-threatening stab wound requiring emergency surgery.
Sister Pettrige, Administrative Manager of GAP-Radio, who suffered leg (ankle) and arm injuries as a result of the attack was not hospitalised.
Writer/Musician, Spartacus R., the main presenter on GAP-Radio, was stabbed in the upper abdomen just right of centre and immediately below his rib cage, leaving a single Stab wound, 9cms deep and 3cms wide (over 3.5" deep and 1.25" wide). He was admitted to Kings College Hospital where he underwent an emergency operation. Thankfully, the Surgeons did not find any damaged organs and he was treated and released from hospital on Wednesday, 13th September 2006.
The whole incident arose out of what appeared to be yet another random attack on an unsuspecting individual by a programmed assassin. Sister Pettrige witnessed this completely unprovoked attack on an elderly African man by a young European man. As she approached the young man to talk with him he opened a Commando type knife and tried to stab her. She fell and he continued trying to knife her until he was distracted by Spartacus. He then plunged the knife deep into Spartacus’s upper body piercing his flimsy T-shirt, leaving a gaping hole out of which his life’s blood gushed.
Sister Pettrige said after the incident: "I wouldn’t have approached him if I knew he had a knife."
"I don’t think Pett and I were specifically targeted" commented Spartacus R., "This is just a continuation of the War, with Global Europe’s attempts to destabilise the Global African Community through Randomised Terror, designed to cause fear and panic throughout our community."
"We would like to say a special thanks to the hundreds of GAP-Radio Listeners, WellWishers and Friends who have called up, sent Emails, sent texts, spoke to the Ancestors, prayed to Oludumare, God or Allah or whoever you happen to pray to." Said Sister Pettrige, "And thanks also to the anonymous person who telephoned Galaxy Radio to give them the news."
"We would also like to thank the firemen who administered emergency first aid before the ambulance arrived." Spartacus added. "Above all we would like to celebrate and thank the Young Warrior Brother who stopped to give help, knowing the possible risks involved. He IS his Brother’s Keeper"
Sister Pettrige and Spartacus R. are both in good spirits and recuperating.
