"I, Spartacus R., from this day forward will strive to improve myself spiritually, morally, mentally, socially, politically and economically for the benefit of myself my family and my people." That is the affirmative Farrakhan-led promise I would have made, along with one million plus other African (Black) men (few women) on 16th October 1995, if I attended the historic "Million Man March" rally in Washington DC.
Colin Powel, the famous, blind American soldier, with doubtful credibility in the African community, was not there because, he said, he did not want to give the gathering too much "credibility". He wished it was someone else who had the idea. A Republican buffoon called Garry Franks, who is unable to criticize the racists in his party, was not there because, he said: "Farrakhan is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah ..."
But Jesse Jackson found the immense courage needed to defy his European (White) puppeteers this time round. Remember, if Jesse and Co. had not excluded Louis Farrakhan from the 30th Anniversary of King's March, divine calling aside, this one would not have happened. I applaud heartily the African "men-only" idea and look forward to seeing the Million (African) Woman March. I have no problem with African men or women meeting exclusively as a group. That is our right. But I have a fundamental problem with part of the message.
As I said in my book "Violation: a look at non-physical violence in relationships", African men, women and children should take responsibility for ourselves, our actions and their consequences. But when you say one partner, the man, has responsibility for the woman and their children, you are effectively disempowering at least two thirds of the African community. At the same time you are handing a dangerous weapon to our enemies; now they batter the "irresponsible", "violent" African man. But my book research shows that "domestic violence" is never one party's responsibility, nor is it ever just physical violence. Neither is it exclusive from the rest of society.
Both Clinton and his Global Europe media machine have denounced Farrakhan the messenger, while praising "the message" as positive, (yet they find difficulty in divorcing him from his indisputable message about the behaviour of some Jews and other Europeans). They report gleefully that African men are "finally" taking responsibility for the damage we have done and are doing to ourselves and our families. In so doing they extricate themselves from any culpability in the genocidal war against the Global African family.
We can now expect more government-sponsored "research" documents blaming the African man for our situation and presenting examples of "self-made" success such as big business executives and party politicians. Like the 70s, this will be followed by more elected officials (after the voter registration drive) more cosmetic legislations, a few well-placed petty concessions to buy our co-option, passivity and silence as Global Europe redoubles their attacks against the African community with more drugs, guns, prisons, abortions, sterilisations, miseducation, malnutrition, disease and more deaths. The assassinated Martin Luther King Jr. and his pacifist marchers were credited for forcing cosmetic legislations as full-scale military campaigns were launched against the militant, self-determinate, Malcolm X-inspired youths, the real cause of change.
If a conservative, rehabilitated Farrakhan is able to tone down his Islamic rhetoric in the face of a strategic Judaeo-Christian anti-Islam movement, he will be Global Europe's official representative of African people. When they are ready for Christian and Muslim Africans to kill each other, as we did (still do) using democracy and communism, he will be sacrificed. In the meantime, he would be required to verbalize some of the anti-African sentiments found in the Bible, the book which Islam, Christianity and Judaism are based on.
If however, Farrakhan becomes more militant, encourages the repopulation of Global Africa instead of decrying "babies making babies" he will live forever - even if they succeed in killing him. The question remains: can he (we) fulfil the above promise by reforming a system which is designed to ensure that we do not? No!! The Global European empire cannot be reformed for the benefit of Global Africa. It has to be totally destroyed. The fox cannot reform the hunt for the benefit of the fox - nor can the hound. A few foxes will beat the system; some will even be allowed to slip through and run with the hounds, but the hunt will always be against the interest of the fox.
We have to do serious work to follow up on the phenomenal success of this march, otherwise we will just get fooled again into believing that marching will get us what we want. We must make and reinforce revolutionary Global African connections and return to some of our more progressive ancient African traditions. We have the power to achieve whatever we desire. We (not just men) are the power.
