British Justice - Update

First of all we would like to say a great big "thank you" to all the people who have supported us through this most trying period of our lives. Those of you who came to the court in support day after day, those of you who gave evidence in the first trial, those of you who recommended other solicitors for us to see and those of you who wanted to help but for one reason or another was unable to do so, we say "Thanks".

After our convictions we set about finding a good solicitor to represent us. We interviewed about fifteen different firms and finally settled on Cobbham and Co. in Notting Hill Gate. After two months of sitting on the case we were informed that they had not even submitted our Legal Aid application (just a few weeks before our crown court hearing was due). Naturally, we sacked them.

We then found Neil Mohabir of Mohabir and Co. in Clapham, who so far, has been doing a good job in preparing the case. We applied for and received more time to prepare the case properly after the previous solicitor's incompetence. The case will now be heard at Inner London Crown Court, Borough High Street, from the 7th to 11th February 2005.

If you have a couple of hours or even half an hour free during that week please come along and give us some support. The judges are less likely to make careless decisions if the court is full than if it is empty.
